The Story Behind the Lens

Judging from the color of the leaves, this photograph was captured during the peak autumn colors of October 2009. This waterfall, known as Canning's Falls, is locked within private property today. Not too far of a drive from where we lived at the time, my dad and I were able to hike to this vantage point almost two decades ago during a gorgeous fall day and managed to get a few undisturbed moments to set up, compose, and grab a few shutter clicks. We haven't been back since.
