Skyline II

By Joseph Gareri

USD$450

A vivid, panoramic nightscape of Lower Manhattan and the illuminated Brooklyn Bridge radiating across the deep blue waters of the East River. Captured during the twilight transition into night, the vibrant amber glow of the Financial District towers casts long, painterly reflections across the harbor under a clear cobalt sky. A bold, luminous tribute to New York City’s most iconic waterfront skyline.

The Story Behind the Lens

Taken on our first evening in New York City during a three-day photographic trip with my brother, Lucas, in May 2011. Setting up along the Brooklyn waterfront as dusk fell, we watched the skyline ignite into gold against the darkening sky. This photograph captures that classic arrival moment—looking across the East River and taking in the sheer scale, energy, and beauty of the city lights.
