The Story Behind the Lens
Going to the Top of the Rock was a must-do during the May 2011 NYC trip. Lucas and I intentionally timed our visit to the top of Rockefeller Plaza as evening set in. I wanted the day to begin to turn into night so that twilight cast that perfect deep cobalt glow across Manhattan. Looking south over the Empire State Building and the sparkling expanse of the city below, this photograph captures one of the most unforgettable moments from our trip together high above the streets.
